Overview
Roadlore is an audio travel companion. It uses your location and trip context to find nearby places, generate narration, synthesize speech, suggest optional stops, and create related artwork. Roadlore does not sell personal information and does not track you across apps or websites.
Information Roadlore Uses
- Location context, including precise location while the app is being used and, if allowed, in the background so narration can continue.
- Audio input only when you use the microphone to ask a question. Speech recognition is used to turn that question into text.
- Generated and user-provided content such as questions, narration context, selected places, and story/artwork requests.
- Purchase state, starter-credit state, credit balances, pseudonymous account identifiers, and device attestation records used to protect the paid cloud service.
- Operational diagnostics such as aggregate usage, rate-limit events, and error metadata needed to run and secure the service.
How Information Is Used
Roadlore uses this information for app functionality: generating stories, speaking them aloud, finding nearby food or places when requested, providing account/session access, granting and spending credits, preventing abuse, and diagnosing service reliability.
Service Providers
Roadlore Cloud may use service providers for AI narration, text-to-speech, image generation, maps/place search, hosting, and Apple purchase verification. Requests are limited to Roadlore app functionality and are sent from the server when possible so provider keys are not shipped in the app.
Retention
Roadlore Cloud keeps account, ledger, product, and aggregate usage records needed to provide purchases, credits, support, and abuse protection. Transient story, speech, artwork, and debug data should be short-lived or redacted. Server logs are designed to avoid retaining raw prompts, user audio, Apple JWS values, App Attest payloads, provider keys, and precise routes.
Your Choices
- You can change location, microphone, and speech-recognition permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can stop background location use by denying Always location permission.
- You can stop using Roadlore Cloud features by deleting the app.
